Three Clovers Designs with High Hopes stamps!

Happy Friday Eve everyone!! YAY!! Isn't it so sad that I just live for the weekends? LOL! Well....that and vacations! (smile) It's time for a new challenge from Kerry over at Three Clovers Designs. The challenge is to use at least two images on your project, and words don't count!! I used these adorable new High Hopes stamps that I got from Lacey over at Stamp and Create! Have you heard that Dustin Pike is their newest artist? How exciting is that?! I fell in love with these aliens and had to have them. So I used the two different aliens, Chuck and Quentin, and the cute space post sign, and they're colored with Copic markers. The sentiment was printed off from my computer onto the sign. Chuck photographed really red, but he's actually orange in person. The grass was just drawn in with my Copic multi-liner.

The stars, scalloped frame, and photo corners were all cut out with the Cricut using my Gypsy that I got from Hallmark Scrapbook. That's it for today! Please be sure and pop over to Three Clovers Thursdays to see the rest of the fabulous projects from the DT. And then we'd love it if you'd play along with us! Thanks for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!
I also entered this in High Hopes challenge this week for a project using three High Hopes Stamps! Wish me luck! Hugs!
recipe:
images: High Hopes from Stamp and Create
papers - DP unknown from scrap pile; cardstock is Bazzill
Tools: Cricut Expression with Storybook, Plantin Schoolbook, and Jasmine carts

Three Clovers Designs - time for a gift!

Hi everyone! Hope you're having a lovely week! This is my Thursday for a new challenge over at Three Clover Designs. This week, Kerry is asking for a gift (non card) item. So I chose to make an ornament. I did one of my favorite techniques with my Cricut Expression, and that's to make my own faux chipboard. I just cut the snowflake out five times and glued them all together. LOVE it! Then I covered it all with a healthy dose of Stickles. I colored up one of my new stamps from the So Jolly So Snowy Mistletoe collection that I got from Magnolia-licious. This collection is the cutest one yet and Diana has some of them left in stock, so hurry and get yours before they're all gone!! I colored her with Copic markers and cut her out. Then I plopped her right in the middle of the snowflake. Whatcha think? Would this be ok for a little gift combined with something else? So please join us at Three Clover Designs and post your own version of a gift item. Thanks for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! hugs!

Three Clovers Designs Thursday challenge

Happy Friday Eve everyone! And it's especially nice this week, cause I am on vacation next week! NINE glorious days off in a row (including weekends of course)! I can NOT wait to turn off my alarm Friday morning when I get up! LOL! Thursday also means a new challenge from Kerry at Three Clovers Designs. This week, she is requesting a Christmas card that has no red or green. I used this adorable digi image by CC Designs. Isn't she cute??? She's colored with Copic markers and then cut out with oval Nestabilities. See that flower? I made it myself with the Blossom Nestabilities. What do you think? I think I need a lot of practice, but I also think it's not too awful bad considering it's my first attempt. :) I didn't notice until now that the snowflake charm was twisted in the pic. Dang!!!

The snowflakes and fronds are from Martha Stewart punches and the paper is Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses. I also used some Stickles on her wings and hat. The pink pearls are by Kaiser.
That's it for today. Please be sure and visit Three Clovers Designs to check out all the other fabulous projects from the rest of the team. And we'd love it if you would join in the fun and create your own card and link it to Kerry! Thanks so much for visiting me today, and please pop by tomorrow. I've got a bit of really exciting news to share with you, but can't reveal it til then!!! HUGS!
OOPS! Almost forgot to say this card fits into Danni's Flutter by Wednesday challenge!

Three Clovers Thursday challenge - Birds and bugs!

It's Thursday, and that means it's time for a new challenge from Kerry over at Three Clovers Designs! Kerry challenged us to use birds or bugs on our project. I got this cute new set of stamps by Hero Arts and I've been wanting to use one of the cute Christmas owls. This challenge gave me the opportunity! This card was done following a tutorial by Beate Johns over at SCS and I loved how it looked and wanted to try it.
I picked up the Shapeabilities Spellbinder die from Hallmark Scrapbook and I love the look of it. The paper is Basic Grey and the sentiment stamp on the inside is also from the same set of Christmas stamps.

I colored Mr Christmas Owl with Copic markers, and the base of the card is Bazzil cardstock. That's it for today! Please be sure and visit Three Clovers Designs to see the rest of the wonderful projects the rest of the awesomely talented team came up with. And then please grab your paper and glue and play along with us! Thanks for stopping by to see me today and hope to see you back again soon! HUGS !

3 Clovers Designs Thursday challenge - use numbers

Happy Friday Eve!!! YAY! LOL! Only one more day to the weekend, and I'm ready! With today being Thursday, that means it's time for another challenge from Kerry over at Three Clovers Designs. This week, she asked us to use numbers on our projects. Well that was perfect for me, as my grandson, Christopher, was turning four years old. I wanted a bright, fun, cheery card, so I grabbed my Lime Rickey papers by Basic Grey, and that cute image of the party giraffe is from Dustin Pike colored with my Copic markers.

The #4 was cut with my Cricut cartridge (sorry - can't remember which font) and the fun circle stamp is in a set of digi stamps I got from The Cutting Cafe'. It's called All Occasion Circle Word Set 1. I love these circle stamps and use them all the time. The oval behind the giraffe was cut with my nesties.
So that's it for me today! Please be sure and pop over to Three Clovers Designs to check out the team's fabulous creations, and then grab your paper and glue and come play with us! Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today and hope to see you back again soon! HUGS!

Three Clovers Designs letters only!

Happy Friday Eve!! Hope everyone is having a great week! I'm only working three days this week. I LOVE short work weeks. :) Tomorrow is Friday already. YAY! With today being Thursday, that means it's time for a new challenge from Kerry over at Three Clovers Designs. This weeks challenge is to use only letters on the front of your card. No words! I had to think about that one for a bit, and then I remembered that The Cutting Cafe' has these awesome letter shaped cards! AND, I have a friend that wants a baby card for her daughter that is expecting, and she's having a boy. Voila! I have the theme for my letter card!

I used this adorable Sitting Alvin from Magnolia-licious along with a Magnolia quilt. I cut just a small piece off the quilt to use on the card. The original stamp size was too big for this card. I don't see where the quilt is currently avaiable, but if you're interested, please email Diana about it. If you love Magnolia stamps, you have to check out the selection available at Magnolia-licious! Diana has the largest on line selection in North America! She also sells Copic marker sets that were created especially for the Magnolia stamps! Speaking of which, I used to color my stamps. The papers are digi, and cardstock is Bazzill.
Thanks for stopping by to see me today. Please visit Three Clovers Designs to see what the rest of the awesome Inspiration team came up with for the challenge. Then we'd love it if you would grab your paper and glue and join us in the fun! Enjoy the rest of your day!! HUGS!

Three Clovers Thursday challenge - use a photo

Happy Friday Eve everyone!!! We're definitely on the downhill slide now! I'm sooooo ready for tomorrow. And next weekend is a three day weekend for me! YAY!!!!! Thursday means it time to reveal the new challenge from Kerry over at Three Clovers Designs. This week, she asked us to use a photo on our card. Boy did I struggle with this one. I'm telling you I stressed over it. I had no idea what the heck I was going to do. I NEVER use photo's on my cards. So I looked and I looked. Thought about old photo's and doing a distressed type of thing. NAH...didn't like it. Then I found this cute little picture of my grandson Ben that I just took about two weeks ago. When I saw this picture, I immediately had the entire card planned out in my head.
Be sure to read the inside too!!
So...whatcha think? Did I at least make you giggle? I truly, truly, truly love making funny or punny cards. The papers were all from my scrap bin, so I'm not sure. I do know the goldish color cardstock and the yellow polka dot paper I used on the front are from PTI. I cut the scalloped front out with my Cricut. Lots of machine stitching and another pretty silk bow. (Oh my....I used the same color on my card I posted last night. OOPS!) LOL! The sentiments are by me and computer generated. I hope you like it. Please be sure and go check out what the rest of the Inspiration Team came up with over at Three Clovers. There's no doubt you are in for a real treat with these amazingly talented ladies! Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today, and I hope to see you again soon!!! HUGS!

Three Clovers Designes - Tuity Fruity!

Happy Thursday, or as I like to refer to it...Happy Friday Eve! Todays challenge from Kerry over at Three Clovers Designs, is to use some kind of fruit on your card or project. Yes, I'm sorry...I did another shaped card. I couldn't help myself. I tried...honest I did! LOL! I really wanted this card to have a country feeling. The ribbon photographed quite a bit brighter than it actually is in person.

We'd love it if you would join in on the challenge over at Three Clovers Designs! Thanks for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! HUGS!!!

Christmas in July - Three Clovers Thursdays challenge

Hi everyone! Hope you're having a wonderful week, and happy Friday Eve!! In one week, I'll be preparing to pick my little five year old grandson up at the airport! He's coming to visit for three weeks! YAY!!! (I'm just a LITTLE excited about it! LOL!)

This week over at Three Clovers Designs, Kerry is celebrating Christmas in July for this weeks challenge! Who doesn't love Christmas in July?? I'm like a little kid at Christmas, so this was a really fun challenge. I did another shaped card that I cut with my Nestabilities dies. So easy and I just love the way they look. And I thought it was perfect for this round stamp. I went to the fabulous Regina Easter's shop, The Cutting Cafe', for the perfect circle stamp! I enlarged it to just the right size for the stamp to fit inside it, and voila!

The stamp is by Mary Engelbreit colored with my Copic markers. That's it for today. Please pop over to Three Clovers Designs to check out the rest of the talented team's creations for Christmas in July, and we'd love it if you'd play along with us. Thanks for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! HUGS!

July Birthday in red, white, and blue. Three Clovers Thursday challenge!

It's Thursday and time for a new challenge from Kerry over at Three Clovers Designs! This week, in honor of our Nation's birthday, Kerry asked us to create using the colors red, white, and blue. I don't send 4th of July cards out, and I completely loathe making something that I know I will never use. So I needed to incorporate this into a card I could use. And lucky enough, my daughter has a birthday in July! Problem solved!
To make it, I knew I was going to have to incorporate one of my Maggies from Magnolia-licious! And I just HAD to use this Shabby Chic Tilda standing with bow. I just think she looks like she's straight from a 4th of July picnic! I colored her with my Copic markers and popped her from the star shaped card base, which is from The Cutting Cafe'. Sooooo easy! I then took one of the circle sentiment downloadable stamps, also from The Cutting Cafe' from a set called Happy Birthday to my Daughter - Son, and inserted my own sentiment in the middle. There are lots of sentiments that come along with the circle stamps, but I wanted something that coordinated with the card shape, so I just made my own. Oh, and the circle sentiment says "Happy Birthday to my Daughter". The "to my" is hidden by Tilda.
So that's it for today! Be sure and hop over to Three Clovers Designs to see what the rest of the fabulously talented team came up with, and then grab your red, white, and blue paper and ink and play along with the rest of us!
Thanks for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! HUGS!

Three Clovers Designs Thursday challenge - No layers!!

Hi everyone, and happy Thursday!! It's time for a new challenge from Kerry over at Three Clovers Designs. And this week, she has a really good challenge for you. I'm sure it will take most of you outside of your comfort zone. The challenge is to make a card with a single piece of cardstock for paper. That's it. No layers at ALL. You can use all the embellies you want, but just the one sheet of paper. Oh man, was this difficult to wrap my brain around. But you know what? It didn't turn out too awful bad. I must give kudos to GinaK heavy cardstock. At least it still looks good on the inside of the card cause none of the marker ink bled through the paper. The stamp is from SU colored with my Copic markers, and the the pearls are from Kaiser. I just used my paper piercer and made some designs around the outside edge of the card. (you can click on the picture to get a closer look at the card) Added a bow and that was it. So how about you? Are you up for a good challenge? Let's see what you can do with a single sheet of cardstock and some embellies. Please pop over to Three Clovers Designs to see what the rest of the fabulously talented Inspiration Team came up with. They were VERY creative in their use of a single sheet of paper. Unbelievable the talent those ladies have!! And then grab your sheet of cardstock and show us what you can do.

Thanks for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! HUGS!!

Father's Day Card and Three Clovers Thursdays

Happy Thursday everyone! And with it being Thursday, that means it's time for a new challenge over at Three Clovers Designs. This week, the challenge is to make a card for a man, and use some type of metal. I have the absolute hardest time making masculine cards. I have to admit that I am hooked on my ribbon and flowers. And when I have to function with it....well I start to fret. LOL!
When I started looking around though, it was actually downloadable stamps that saved my hiney. The fisherman is a downloadable stamp from Dustin Pike, and the circle stamp is from an awesome set of downloadable stamps from The Cutting Cafe' for Father's Day. I used my Copic markers to color the stamp (pic is below). I printed the fisherman twice (the second time a little smaller) so I could have another fish to cut out and apply to the circle stamp from The Cutting Cafe'.

The DP is Basic Grey and I'm sorry, but the brads are from my stash and have no idea who made them. That's it for today. Please be sure and visit Three Clovers Designs to see the other amazing cards the Inspiration team came up with. And then grab your paper, glue, and metal, and get that Father's Day card made so you don't have to worry about it anymore!

Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today, and I hope to see you again soon! Have a great day! HUGS!

Three Clovers Designs Thursday challenge

Happy Thursday everyone!! That means the end of the week is almost here, and it also means it's time for another challenge over at Three Clover Designs! This week, Kerry asked us to make a card for Mom or women, and use either ribbon or lace. Perfect timing for Mother's Day, although the card I made could be used any day of the year. I used some of my favorite paper, Basic Grey Boxer line, and the cardstock is Bazzill. That cute stamp is from The Cutting Cafe'. It's in a set called All About Mom that has tons of stamps that can be used year round!

I just printed it out at the size I wanted, and then colored them with my copic markers. I used E08, B21, and for the shadow lines, I used BV20. The scalloped background was cut out with my Expressions machine and the Storybook cartridge.
That's it for today! We'd love it if you would join us in the challenge over at Three Clover Designs! Wait until you see the fabulous creations the rest of the inspiration team came up with! There is some beautiful work to be seen!
OH! I wanted to let you know that I get asked a lot of questions about how I use my copic markers to get Tilda's hair the shade of Auburn red that I love so much. So I'm going to attempt a tutorial on how I do it. I hope to have it posted this weekend. Thanks for stopping by to see me today, and hope to see you back again soon! Have a great day!

Three Clovers Designs Thursday challenge

EDIT: What can I plead other than stress and old age? I guess I just had a total brain fart, I don't know. I apologize to Kerry for posting this a day early. Maybe I was trying to rush the week...what can I say other than I'm a complete moron! You can see all the rest of the teams work TOMORROW when it's really THURSDAY over at Three Clover Designs. UGH!!
It's Thursday, and that means it's time for Three Clovers Thursday! This week, Kerry challenged us to a color challenge, to use So Saffron, Rose Red, and Always Artichoke. Well, I didn't have the slightest idea what colors those were, so Kerry so graciously sent me the cardstock to use! Thanks Kerry! I've had this adorable stamp from Lelo Designs by Stampavie for a little bit, and hadn't had a chance to use her til now. I colored her with my Copic markers. The DP is Basic Grey and I cut out the ovals with my Nestabilities. The tabs and tag were cut with my Cricut.

Please be sure and visit Three Clovers Designs to check out what the rest of the talented inspirational team came up with, and then grab your cardstock and glue to play along! Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today and hope to see you back again soon!

3 Clovers Thursday Challenge day!!

Today is Thursday, that means it's time for another 3 Clovers challenge! This week, Kerry challenged us to USE IT UP!! We were to use two pieces of paper that have been in our stash for at least a year. Well... I don't know about you, but I sure didn't have any problems with this one! LOL! In fact, I'd like to see this challenge every day for about....oh.....I'd say maybe two years or so??? LOL!

I honestly don't even know the maker of the paper I used. Sorry! I used a couple stamps I got from Magnolia-licious, Edwin in a bunny suit, and wagon with eggs. The stamps are colored with my Copic markers. The circle and scalloped circle are cut out with my Nestabilites, and popped up from the card base. Edwin is popped up as well.

Hope you're not tired of that cute little pink bunny I'm using in my Easter pics. I found her at the grocery store for like 2 bucks, and I just can't get enough of her, A couple more Easter cards and she'll be retired to the grand kids. She makes a big "BOINGY" noise when you drop her on her behind! LOL! Thanks so much for stopping by to visit today, and please be sure and check out all the other team's projects for this challenge. OMGosh, these ladies are SO talented!! Their projects are amazing! And then grab your OLD paper and glue and join in on the fun! Just be sure and link your project to Kerry's blog. Have a wonderful day! It's almost Friday!! HUGS!

Three Clovers Thursday Challenge and a really fun birthday card!

It's Thursday and you know what that means! It's challenge time over at Three Clovers! I had a BLAST working on this challenge. I mean...look at this cake! HOW FUN!!! So I turned on my Cricut Expression, and I went to work.

I cut the one out with my Sesame Street Font cartridge and then cut the shadow four times and glued them all together. It makes awesome faux chipboard. Happy Birthday was cut with my ZooBalloo cartridge and shadowed that one as well, also multiple times for strength, and did the same thing yet again for the balloons with the Celebration cartridge.
Before I glued all the balloon layers together, I cut some strips of red wire and attached the wire the balloon, then continued gluing the balloon pieces together. That way, the edge of the wire is hidden up inside the ballon. I used Zip Dry glue to glue the wire on, and I used a very generous portion of it too. It is holding the weight of them wonderfully!

The DP is DCWV Nana's Kids, don't know about the cardstock. I cut the base out at 1 1/2" wide and scored down the middle. Then attached the one to the front and center of the strip. I also cut two layers of cardstock to attach to the back for the added weight. The card stands just fine. For the base of the strip, I used kraft cardstock cause it's nice and sturdy.

The adorable little dragon is by Lelo Designs that I purchased from 7 College kids. When I cut him out, I just did away with the string that was holding the balloon and replaced it with some wire too. I colored him with my Copic markers. He's stamped, colored, and cut three times and each layer has a thin layer of dimensional tape in between.
Thanks so much for stopping in to see my take on Kerry's challenge today, and I hope you pop over to Three Clovers and take a peek at what the rest of the Inspirational team did. They are all wickedly talented!! Hope to see you back again soon!! HUGS!

Three Clovers Thursday Challenge

Hi everyone! It's Thursday, and that means it's time for our next Three Clovers Thursday challenge over at Three Clovers Designs! Kerry's challenge to you this week is to use B+B+B! What's that? translation please? Ok, it's to use brown+blue+buttons! What a fun challenge, huh?

I actually had no idea who made this stamp because a friend of mine from the UK sent it to me. I'm sure a LOT of you know Dawny from Pink Piggy! Thanks Dawny! And then I saw that Claudia Rosa had used the exact same stamp a couple days ago believe it or not, and she listed the maker! How's that for a coinkydink??? Thanks so much Claudia!! The stamp is by LeLo Design by Stampavie called Natural Boy.

I layered up a bunch of Bazzill cardstock and used my SU ticket punch in the corners. I really like that look. I don't know why, but I do! LOL! Then used some little brads in the corners that I had in my stash. The DP is by Serendipity that I've had in my stash for quite a while.

I added a simple strip of blue cardstock down the right side and topped it off with some blue gingham ribbon tied in a bow. I don't usually do this, but I left this one totally sentiment free to make it nice and versatile. For the buttons, I wanted just an array of different buttons across the bottom, and I threaded them with some brown embroidery thread.

This was a really fun challenge!!! We'd LOVE it if you would pop over to Three Clovers Designs and play along with us! Thanks for stopping by to see me today and hope to see you back again soon!!! HUGS!!

Three Clovers Thursday challenge - Exciting news!!

I am SOOOO proud and honored to announce that I am on a new inspiration team for Three Clovers Thursday challenges by Kerry Donovan - Casey! Kerry is not only the sweetest person, she is also UBER talented! Her work just amazes me, and I'm still pinching myself to make sure I'm not dreaming that I am on this amazing Inspiration Team! This is the first week for Three Clovers Thursday challenge, and it was a sketch challenge, and I really enjoyed working with it! Here's what I came up with. This is the kick off week for Three Clovers Thursday challenge, so how could I resist using shamrocks?? Yes, I know they're four leaf clovers, but let's not get TOO technical! *smile*

The DP is Basic Grey and cardstock is Bazzill. I used some really cool downloadable stamps from The Cutting Cafe. Both the St Patty's words and the pot of shamrocks are from the same set. Aren't they awesome?! I colored them in with my Copic markers, and of course I had to use one of my favorite MS border punches!

Again, we would truly love it if you would play along with this challenge. Just pop over to Three Clover Designs and look at what the rest of the fabulously talented Inspiration Team came up with!! I'm telling you, you're going to love what you see!! Then get out your paper and glue and play along!
Thanks for stopping by to see me today and I hope to see you back again soon!
HUGS!!
