"Swarming" at Ms. Suzanne's House & Her Super Scraproom

I had a wonderful day yesterday.  I spent most of the day with six of my favorite people at our friend Suzanne's house.  Suzanne hosted a "swarm" for our cricutting friends.  It is really easy for this group - we have gotten together so frequently that we have the "bring a dish" food down to a easy pattern, we know who brings the cricuts, laptops, etc.  We had two expressions going yesterday along with computers loaded with Cricut Design Studio.

MFK (my friend Kathy) and I managed to miss the photos... Not sure what happened there... But I did manage to get everyone else in a photo.  Maybe Kathy and I were too busy scrapping more of the Vegas trip??  Okay that's our story.

I really need to share Suzanne's scraproom with you.  She has a space that we all covet; so organized and well stocked!

Also in the closet, both sides have built-in shelves:

We had a lot of chatting and scrapping happening.   Pictured here is Toby getting some much needed R&R:

And here is Beth:

And finally (since Kathy & I avoided being photographed) are Pat and Suzanne:

I am sooooo lucky to have these wonderful friends.  And I soooo enjoy my time with them.  Suzanne, thank you for hosting!!!

Scrapping & Card-A-Palooza!

I attended a local crop with friends last Friday night and Saturday (thanks Amy!). I must say that as a group we covered A LOT of scrapping ground: layouts, challenges, Christmas tags, and cards.... Lots and lots of cards! Some of us worked on Christmas cards, some of us worked on all purpose cards. It was a card-a-palooza! I personally did a little bit of all of the above. I completed a number of double page layouts, sixteen Christmas cards, and three all purpose cards. I thought I would share a few of my projects with you:

Lake Weekend Brought Christmas in July

I had a wonderful time at Lake Murray last weekend with my scrapping girl fiends: "My friend Kathy", Beth, Sally, Peggy, Suzanne, and Pat. We were one busy bunch of scrappers! I actually only completed four scrap pages, but that was because I was focused on Christmas in July! I made 24 Christmas Cards (eight each of three styles), and 18 sets of gift tags to give as gifts at work. Somehow I feel like I am ahead of schedule now.

The one of the two double page spreads I created was of my daughter and her friends as they were preparing for the annual Steeplechase event this spring. I found this dress paper at Scrap Your Trip and just loved it. I thought it was perfect for these photographs.

As I stated above, I made three different Christmas card designs. I actually cannot decide which design I like best. The first design consists of a circular Merry Christmas stamp, stamped on smooth white card stock and cut with a nestie. It is mounted on a larger nestie and has a pop package in the middle. I used Basic Grey paper and off white cards.

The second design utilizes one of last year's purchases, this beautiful Christmas tree stamp from Stampin' Up. It too was stamped on smooth white card stock and mounted on a nestie cut. The background paper was purchased at Michael's, and I cannot recall the company.

The final of my three cards grew out of a mistake. I had planned to make bag toppers and accidentally cut them too small. So I decided to use the light blue cuts as backgrounds for stamping. I used the same Christmas tree and mounted the tag on navy card stock stamped with white snow flakes.

I wish I could show you my tags, but they must wait.

Scrapping and Card Making Weekend at the Lake

I spent the weekend with some of my scrapping BFF's at my friends Beth's and Sally's lake house. We had wickedly horrid weather on Saturday, but somehow that did not impact the fun or the creative Karma flowing through the lake house. And today we had a great lunch out on the dock as it was sunny and upper sixties!

I did not have my most industrious weekend ever... In fact, it is safe to say that this was my least productive trip ever. It was, however, relaxing and fun.

I managed to create my weekly Bitten by the Bug project... it will be posted tomorrow... along with 10 cards and a few layouts. I thought I would tease you tonight with a few card sneak peeks.

Thank you Beth & Sally - the weekend was great.

Friday Night Fun

I have had such a fun Friday night! My friends Kathy & Peggy came over to scrap, stamp, or whatever. Kathy & Peggy ended up working on invitations for Peggy's dd's wedding while I worked on cards. I had so much fun.

Dh picked up amazingly good veggie pizza for us, then he baked brownies for our dessert! What a great man (and Peggy was worried that we would bug him!). I probably should not mention the red wine and pear wine (truly, pear wine), so I won't. ;-)

I really am fortunate to have such great friends!!! And Kathy, this post was for you!!! ;-)

Home Safe and Sound

Wow, what a weekend! A group of friends and I (my friends Kathy, Toby, Suzanne, Pat, Beth, and Sally) joined a larger group of extended friends at a scrapbooking retreat in GA. this weekend. Our adventures began on Thursday afternoon and we arrived home safely tonight (Sunday). I managed to scrap 38 pages (beating last year's total by 2 pages), as well as make a card for a future BBtB challenge.

I am not going to post all 38 pages, but I will give a you a little peek into my weekend. First, Bethany's room in Charleston, where she is in college:
