Happy Easter

Happy Easter Everyone!!!!!

*sweet* Bird's Nests

Do you remember eating these chow mein noodle bird's nests when you were a kid? I do and they're one of my favorite things to make for Easter!

I found a recipe for them in the King Arthur Flour Cookie Companion. They are really, really simple, too!

Seriously, it'll take you less than an hour (unless you are going to blog about them, then it will take FOUR), assuming you have chow mein noodles, marshmallows and Easter candy on hand. And who doesn't? ;)

Bird's Nests
{adapted from King Arthur Flour Cookie Companion}

3 c. mini marshmallows
3 TBSP unsalted butter
1/2 tsp vanilla
4 c. dry chow mein noodles
small candies, jelly beans, m & m's, etc.

Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.

Over low heat, melt the marshmallows and butter in a large saucepan.

Once melted, stir in the vanilla, then the chow mein noodles.

Coat your hands liberally with shortening, (butter doesn't work as well) and have some nearby for re-coating.

{Your hands will feel so soft all day. :) Hmmm...maybe I should carry a little tub of Crisco in my purse?}

Grab a clump of noodles smaller than a tennis ball and larger than a golf ball. Form into a ball while pressed your thumbs into the middle, forming a nest.

Allow the nests to cool, then fill with with the candy of your choice....

{I used mini Robin's Egg Whoppers.}

{And maybe a mama bird, or Peep, watching over!}

OK...so while I was taking pictures, I thought..."wouldn't these be cute placecards?!?"

Of course, you can probably find a better pen than a ballpoint and cut out construction paper a little neater, but they ARE cute, aren't they?

{I used a toothpick to attach the Peep to the nest.}

Remember to link up your Easter goodies and crafts here. Or, just go check them out...I am blown-away with all of the CUTE ideas!!! You guys are so fun! I'm stealing ALL of your ideas next year!

April Design Team Challenge for Magnolia-licious

It's the beginning of the month, and that means that it's time for a new Design Team challenge! This month, we've got an awesome sketch provided by the lovely and talented Claudia Rosa! I used four, yes I said four, stamps from Diana at Magnolia-licious to create this card. And there's tons of dimension which you know I love. The stamps I used are #3047 Tilda with newly hatched chicken (she's not in stock right now), #521 Butterfly background, That cute little fence with the hearts in it (not in stock right now), and then I stamped just the sidewalk portion of #633 Houses on street and cut out what I wanted of it for Tilda to stand on. If your interested in either of the stamps that aren't in stock, just email Diana and ask her about them.

All the stamps are colored with Copic markers. The fence and sidewalk are popped up from the background stamp, and Tilda is popped out even further from the fence. I just love making fun cards!! I have to tell you though, I am so in love with all of these Easter stamps!! But since Easter is already here, I wanted to try and use them for something else. So since the chick is hatching, I figured a birthday card might be good, and the on the inside, it says "Happy Birthday! You're still a Spring chick!" Whatcha think? Is it too corny????
The Happy Birthday sentiment stamp is from The Cutting Cafe' from a set called All Occasion Circle Word Set 1. I just printed it out at the size I wanted, and cut it out with my Nestabilities. The butterflies were cut using my Gypsy and Cricut Expression using the Tear Drop cartridge. I just added some Kaiser pearls to them. I also added a silk ribbon bow made using my Bow Easy.
That's it for today! Please be sure and visit Magnolia-licious Highlights to see the rest of the Design Teams creations using Claudia's sketch! We'd love it if you would join in and play along with us! Thanks so much for visiting me today and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!

♥ Beauty Skincare Haul & Cute Sweets Lipglosses with Fragrance ♥

back with my post again.
this week & the next following weeks will be a very busy time for my BF & I, because of all the exams that coming up & the assignments due.
so my BF & I decided to go out & have some fun^^

well, we both decided to treat ourselves some things.
so he went to TOPMAN and bought himself a black belt, a formal white shirt & a black cardigan.
then he treated me some beauty stuffs^^
I happen to need some skincare products since my Clinique almost running out.
At first, I was curious about Laura Mercier skincare products ever since some people bragged about it & AllThatGlitters21 posted up a YouTube video about them that really convinced me.
but I found out that they're actually kind of expensive (esp for me, a jobless uni's student. LOL).
I understand that the contents, the essence, & the ingredients of them must've been really good but I can't afford them :[
maybe next time~~

soo, I ended up with CLINIQUE again^^
my previous skincare products are actually also from CLINIQUE. I'm quite satisfied with them but my face has not been improved much because I've been kinda off & on with the skincare steps itself.
sometimes when I went back to my home country I didn't packed my CLINIQUE with me so I had to use other products whatever my Mom's using while on 1-2months holiday.
and I also has been off any skincare for the past 2 months caz I was soo lazy to go the mall to buy some proper cleansers & moisturizers. LOL.
so this time, I really want to take care of my face. with serious intention^^

I purchased the CLINIQUE 3 Steps Skincare. this time my number of skin is #3. (I was in #2).
the lady told me that my skin combination has changed. I used to have the oily T-zone with very dry skin around the cheeks area. which was the reason why I was on #2.
but now my skin is more to the oily T-zone but with slightly dry skin around the cheeks area.
well, I think it's kinda true because my skin has been kinda oily lately which has caused me to break out a little. :(

so here's the HAUL pictures~~

before unpacking it^^

>> left to right <<
CLINIQUE Moisture Surge, Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel, Clarifying Lotion #3, Liquid Facial Soap

>> some infos <<
>> ok for the prices, it may not the same for every country & the currency may not be accurate too.
so pls this is just to get the idea of the price for those who actually need to know.
I put the prices in my post just because I myself like to compare & gets the idea of the products ranges so I can prepare the budgets before actually buying it^^ so I just thought my readers would like to know them too~ <<

- The Liquid Faciap Soap
this on #3 which are the oily skin combination
suitable for those who have the oily combination in the T-zone/Cheeks area & then dry combination in others area too
200 ml
THB778 RM78 ✿ Rp.218.000 ✿ $24

- The Clarifying Lotion (Toner)
this also on #3
to clarify & exfoliate the skins
200 ml
THB 778 RM78 ✿ Rp.218.000 ✿ $24

- The Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel
also on #3
50 ml
THB870 RM87 ✿ Rp.243.000 ✿ $26

- The Moisture Surge
all skin types
an extended thirst relief
this is additional not part of the 3 steps skincare
I needed it because to feed the thirst of my skins. as the lady said, my skin is not fully dry, it's more oily but it's really thirsty
this moisture surge is to stop the white spots & prevent them to break out & become blemishes or pimples
50 ml
THB1600 RM160 ✿ Rp.447.000 $50

so with all that purchases, I got a sample of Anti-Blemish Solutions Mask & a Clinique choice of a purse or an umbrella
my BF suggest me to get the umbrella but I chose the bag instead, idk why LOL~~
btw, the last time I purchased the skincare products which was about a year ago or so, I got more samples than now
the lady gave me
- a sample of moisture surge
- a sample of city block sheer SPF25
- a sample of all about eyes rich
- a sample of perfectly real superfine compact makeup in fresh beige
- a cinnamon stick lipstick
- and a high impact mascara

but nvm~~ hohoo I still got the bag right^^

then, the receipts. LOL I'm so thorough about this post xD

the next thing that I purchased & really excited about it it's the cutee little sweets lipglosses from Bloop
I bought them simply because of the super cute packaging & because of the fragrance!
they have the choice of chocolates, vanilla, mints, blueberry, grapes, orange, etc. & it was also on promotion.
buy 2 get 1 free. LOL.
well I only intended to buy one but my BF let me have the 3 of them caz he saw me was very excited about it.
seriously he's the SWEETEST & the most understanding BF everr. hahahaaa~~

It's here! Brand new release from Wags 'n Whiskers and a blog hop!!!

We made it to Friday and I'm so excited cause today is the day for the brand new release of Wags 'n Whiskers stamps called Let's Play!!! If you arrived here from the amazingly talented Jeanette's blog, then you're on the right path! If not, then hop over to the Wags 'n Whiskers blog so you can start at the beginning. While you're there, be sure and grab the blog hop banner to put on your blog for a chance to win the entire release!! The details are all on the blog.

Today, I chose to work with this beautiful stamp called Tiny Dancer. I totally fell in love with her when I saw her. She's colored with Copic markers and then cut out and popped up for dimension. The paper is from Kaiser Craft and the cardstock is Bazzill. Those amazing flowes are from Wild Orchid Crafts, and I painted some Angel Wings Shimmerz on them. The card base was cut using my Gypsy with my Cricut Expression and the Wild Card cartridge. I added some Kaiser pearls, a silk ribbon bow made with my Bow Easy, and some diamond Stickles around the edge of the card as well as her little tiara head band.

Now for the fun stuff. Be sure and comment on all the Diva's blogs, as there will be hidden candy throughout the hop!! When you're done here, head over to see what fabulous creation that Debbie has in store for you! I am positive you're gonna love it!!! Thanks so much for stopping by to play along today, and hope to see you back again soon! Hugs!!

Spaghetti & Meatballs . . .April Fools!

Ready to dig into a big bowl of Spaghetti & Meatballs?

How about Spaghetti & Meatball cupcakes?!?

I had no intention of doing anything special for April Fools' Day this year. (Last year, I made these.)

It's Easter week and I was busy with cookie orders, excuses, excuses. Last night, kiddo says, "so, what are you doing for April Fools' Day this year?"

Well, the guilt hit me like a ton of bricks. Shouldn't I do something special? Are these the things he will (hopefully) remember 7 years from now when he's away at college (sob!)? I'm hoping the sugar will drown out memories of all of my griping & nagging.

{That and I'm Catholic, so guilt comes pretty easily for me.}

These spaghetti & meatball cupcakes come right out of the book Hello, Cupcake! They're super easy, too...especially when you use boxed cake mix and canned frosting. (Shh, don't tell.)

{Will you think less of me if I tell you that I LIKE canned frosting? No? Oh, good.}

And the parmesan, it's supposed to be grated white chocolate, but I just couldn't bring myself to buy it just for a few little sprinkles. I used grated white candy melts. :)

I wasn't sure about how I would like the sauce on the cupcakes, but it was really good with the frosting and chocolate, uh, meatball!

We dropped some off for my 3-year-old nephew who said, "Oh, spaghetti & meatballs are so GOOD for me!" Smart guy!

Don't forget to link up your Easter goodies and crafts here!
